The
National Mustang Association has instigated a program whereby
members, non-members, and groups may financially support a wild
horse that is kept at the National Mustang Ranch in Barclay, Nevada.
The
NMA hopes to be able to provide homes for as many horses as possible
that would otherwise be doomed to spend their lives in holding facilities
or worse. The "Adopt-A-Horse-For-A-Year" program
will provide the maintenance of such a horse for $25 per month or
$300 per year as the sustaining individual or group chooses.
Adopt-A-Horse-For-A-Year would mean just that, one year. The
participating individual or group will receive an
Adopt-A-Horse-For-A-Year certificate and a picture of the horse, and
knowledge that they are providing a home for a very worthy animal. Many
would love to help these fine animals but, because they have no
place to keep a horse can't adopt one. Now, with the
Adopt-A-Horse-For-A-Year program you can help support these
deserving horses, while we take care of them at our own
facilities. The NMA needs your help with the maintenance of
these animals if it is to continue other programs established to
enhance the lives of the free-roaming horses. If
you know of anyone, a school group, 4-H club, or other group that
might be interested, won't you show them this notice?
